Furman University: Our Alma Mater
| What is a Paladin, you ask? |
|
|
Both Sibal and I graduated from Furman University. Furman is a small, private, liberal arts school situated in Greenville, SC, nestled between the only couple of mountains in the area. In orientation the President, Dr. David Shi, told the entering freshman class that 25% of us would marry each other. I scoffed, "yeah right". Look at me now....marrying another Furman graduate. PS: a paladin is Furman's mascot. Its a Christian knight (see above).

Both Sibal and I were Political Science majors, so we were lucky to have most of our classes in the brand-new, super "plush" John E. Johns Hall (above). I was also a Philosophy major. We got stuck in Furman Hall (below). Not to worry, the ol' gal is getting a face-lift as we speak and will be awesome when it's done.

The Bell Tower is the icon of Furman.
You can find it on hats, shirts,
and even on the sidewalks on campus.

Already a fan:
Matty loves Furman.
I hope he is smart enough to get a scholarship,
especially since amt will be paying off her loans until we die!
